I am a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, a Yoga Instructor, Reiki Practitioner and Body Psychotherapist (final year).
my experience
I have been specialising in childhood and developmental trauma, adult and child trauma recovery, women and children’s health, attachment, parenting, childhood behavioural disorders, child and adolescent mental health, and family therapy.
I am passionate about working in a holistic and systemic capacity, incorporating important people, places and activities into recovery models. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities including art therapy, yoga, therapeutic play, family and relational therapy, body psychotherapy and meditation/breathing techniques. Outside of my professional life I have a regular practice of yoga, meditation, and therapy.
I am in my last year of Body Psycotherapy studies (currently starting to see clients under this modality) and graduated with my Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy in 2017. Prior to moving into private practice I volunteered and lived in Fiji at an early intervention centre, worked with children and young people who were in Out of Home Care and under the Child Safety System, have been an inhouse therapist for women and children in a domestic violence shelter, a mental health clinician within refugee-resettlement, child, family and adult therapist in NDIS private practice, and a Senior Mental Health Clinician in Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in regional cities and in remote communities.

Therapy Services
Body Psycotherapy
I am in my last year of Body Pscyotherapy/ Somatic Psycotherapy through the Institute of Body Psycotherapy in Brisbane. This therapeutic modality is based on Core Energetics and Bioenergetics. It is an integrated framework for moving from a state of defended living into one of freedom, spontaneity and deep connection with all of life. It is a body-based therapy that uses specifically designed exercises in combination with talk therapy and life-path philosophy to return to your highest potential.

As part of my study I have been engaging in this modality for my own healing and recovery. It has been phenomenal to witness the changes that have occurred in my life relationally and personally since starting working with this and I am so excited to share it with others.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapists (OTs) work with individuals, families, and groups to enable meaningful and empowered participation in life. Throughout my OT career I have specialised in mental and behavioural health, trauma and multicultural support. I am primarily a paediatric OT focusing on parenting, attachment, behaviour, trauma and mental health.
Supervision
I will be offering a limited number of spaces for supervision/ mentoring of OTs early in their career or early in their paediatric/ mental health journey. This will be a 1:1 reflective and informative space for current practicing clinicians. This is primarily for OTs working within the parenting, child and family field. Please get in touch for more info and to see whether this is right for you.
